Wide receiver Eugene Helton, a three-star prospect in the 2025 class and son of former Pro Bowl wide receiver TY Helton, announced his commitment to the University of Wisconsin on Friday.

Helton, a standout at Indiana’s Zionsville Community High School, received offers from Georgia, Michigan, Missouri, Miami and others, but gave his verbal commitment to the Badgers seven days after he took an official visit to Wisconsin on June 7.

According to ESPN’s rankings, the 6-foot-1, 185-pound pass rusher is the 53rd-ranked wide receiver in the 2025 class and the No. 6 prospect in the state of Indiana this cycle.

Hilton is the third-highest-ranking member of the Badgers’ incoming class, and Luke Fickell’s second as the program’s head coach. Hilton’s commitment arrived less than 24 hours after ESPN 300 linebacker Mason Posa (No. 283 in the ESPN 300) became the highest-rated prospect in the Badgers’ 2025 class with his commitment Thursday night.

TY Hilton was a four-time Pro Bowl selection over 10 seasons with the Indianapolis Colts and led the NFL in receiving yards with 1,448 yards in 2016. He spent his final season in the league during the 2022 season, catching seven passes in three games with Dallas Cowboys.
