Liverpool fans have reacted to the announced Premier League fixtures, with five things standing out from the schedule.
The Arne Slot era at Liverpool will begin at lunchtime away to newly promoted Ipswich.
It will be a baptism of fire for Slott as the atmosphere at Portman Road is sure to be the best for their first Premier League match since 2002.
After taking on Brentford at Anfield, the Reds then travel to Old Trafford with an early chance to overcome last season’s setbacks against Man United.
At the other end of the campaign, the rush is tough. Liverpool have Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal to play before finishing the season away to Brighton and then Crystal Palace.

Early start
an early start with a newly promoted team is something we should get used to

“It’s not an easy game, especially with a new man in charge of us!” – David Lee Jones on facebook.
Of course we get 12.30. Bet Slot fully expected this after talking to Klopp. https://t.co/ZhXQzCqfTD

“Early start in Ipswich! Right out of the gate, it’s not a thought for the traveling fans.” – Jota The Slotter in the comments.
Taking advantage of one of the 12.30 kick-offs on the first weekend is actually good.

12:30 KO is not bad if you come back from vacation, you have to understand that the problem is not 12:30, but what comes before and after the match in a busy schedule in this case is normal

Hard intrusion
“It’s great to get a home game on the last day of the season, we’re long overdue to lift the trophy in front of a packed Anfield crowd, especially as we were so cruelly deprived of it in 2020.” – Steve on facebook.
Leicester should win, we have a good record against Spurs so I’m confident it’s a win. Chelsea will be tough, Arsenal at home our record is good but it will be tough. Brighton and palace should be wins.

I don’t want to alarm you, but Liverpool’s last game of the season is not at home to Wolves
— barry (@BackseatsmanLFC) June 18, 2024
“Not a bad start, looks interesting at the end of the season” – Alan Turner on facebook.
Running in is not the best; it’s a shame that the game against City is away in the second half of the season; good to see we are at home to everton in the race.

It’s hard to say the least! Looks like the league is favoring Man City again given the entry they gave them!

Merry Christmas, Everton
With Liverpool playing Everton on December 7th, that definitely falls on a date when it’s almost acceptable to sing Everton’s Merry Christmas song.
Any excuse to remind the Blues of Sadio Mane’s winner after injury in 2016!
We’ll be singing Merry Christmas to Everton again

Man City then Newcastle
On the weekend of November 30, Liverpool host Man City at Anfield before heading north east to take on Newcastle in midweek.
The same tricky pattern will then repeat itself in February, with a trip to the Etihad followed by a midweek clash at Anfield against the Magpies.
One fan pointed out that this might not be a problem.
I think midweek in Newcastle is really helpful. Not the kind of team we want to have a week off.

Do not enter any more time
As we know, the Premier League and their broadcasters like to tinker with the schedule, sometimes announcing changes to the schedule just weeks before the games take place.
The fixtures announced on Tuesday morning are a guide only, and the times of most of Liverpool’s games are likely to change for television or due to cup involvement.
Only 3 of Liverpool’s 38 Premier League games kicked off at 3pm on a Saturday last season (2 at Anfield, one at Forest), so don’t plan your life around today’s game #LFC
