5 things fans have noticed as Liverpool have a “difficult” run in the Premier League – Liverpool FC

Liverpool fans have reacted to the announced Premier League fixtures, with five things standing out from the schedule.

The Arne Slot era at Liverpool will begin at lunchtime away to newly promoted Ipswich.

It will be a baptism of fire for Slott as the atmosphere at Portman Road is sure to be the best for their first Premier League match since 2002.

After taking on Brentford at Anfield, the Reds then travel to Old Trafford with an early chance to overcome last season’s setbacks against Man United.

At the other end of the campaign, the rush is tough. Liverpool have Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal to play before finishing the season away to Brighton and then Crystal Palace.

Liverpool fans react to the new Premier League games.

Early start

“It’s not an easy game, especially with a new man in charge of us!” – David Lee Jones on facebook.

“Early start in Ipswich! Right out of the gate, it’s not a thought for the traveling fans.” – Jota The Slotter in the comments.

Hard intrusion

“It’s great to get a home game on the last day of the season, we’re long overdue to lift the trophy in front of a packed Anfield crowd, especially as we were so cruelly deprived of it in 2020.” – Steve on facebook.

“Not a bad start, looks interesting at the end of the season” – Alan Turner on facebook.

Merry Christmas, Everton

With Liverpool playing Everton on December 7th, that definitely falls on a date when it’s almost acceptable to sing Everton’s Merry Christmas song.

Any excuse to remind the Blues of Sadio Mane’s winner after injury in 2016!

Man City then Newcastle

On the weekend of November 30, Liverpool host Man City at Anfield before heading north east to take on Newcastle in midweek.

The same tricky pattern will then repeat itself in February, with a trip to the Etihad followed by a midweek clash at Anfield against the Magpies.

One fan pointed out that this might not be a problem.

Do not enter any more time

As we know, the Premier League and their broadcasters like to tinker with the schedule, sometimes announcing changes to the schedule just weeks before the games take place.

The fixtures announced on Tuesday morning are a guide only, and the times of most of Liverpool’s games are likely to change for television or due to cup involvement.
