Raphael Varane is back in the Manchester United squad to face Brighton and Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium this afternoon, but has to settle for a place on the bench.
His teammate, Lisandro Martinez, starts his first game since February after another lengthy injury layoff.
Martinez will partner Casemiro in central defense alongside Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Diogo Dalot.
Andre Onana is in goal.
In midfield, Kobbie Mainoo is joined by Sofyan Amrabat, with Scott McTominay ahead of them in the number 8/10 role and Bruno Fernandes in the false 9.
Alejandro Garnacho was rumored to be rested on the left wing, possibly with the FA Cup final in mind, with Marcus Rashford taking his place.
Rasmus Hojlund was due to be brought back into the centre-forward position after being rested against Newcastle in midweek, but reports suggest he was withdrawn at the last minute and Garnacho brought back into the squad.
That means Rashford remains on the bench, where he and Varane are joined by Altay Bayindir, Jonny Evans, Willy Kambwala, Toby Collyer, Christian Eriksen, Antony and Hojlund.
The fact that the Dane is on the bench suggests that his withdrawal was purely precautionary.
Anthony Martial and Victor Lindelof were expected to come on the bench after returning to full training but have not been included in the squad.
Mason Mount, Luke Shaw, Harry Maguire and Tyrell Malacia are still injured.
The start of the game at Amex is at 4:00 p.m.
