Mohamed Salah has given his biggest indication yet that he will stay at Liverpool next season, with the Egyptian vowing to “fight like hell” for trophies.
Salah is entering the final year of his contract this summer and could head into the transfer market with more doubts about his immediate future.
After seeing daunting bids from Saudi Arabia fall through a year ago, it was expected that Liverpool could at least show more interest this time around.
But the 31-year-old instead moved to quash any early speculation, in a major statement of intent for the 2024/25 campaign.

That serves as a big marker for Salah’s plans moving forward, with the no. 11 now looks certain to remain part of Arne Slota’s team.

The intention may be to then leave on a free transfer in 2025, although it is still likely Liverpool will discuss another contract extension.
Like Salah, both captain Virgil van Dijk and vice-captain Trent Alexander-Arnold will have 12 months left on their current deals until July 1.
Liverpool therefore face a crucial summer for three of their most important players, as allowing them to go into the season without agreeing new terms could risk their value dropping towards free agent status.
Salah’s ambition to continue winning trophies with the Reds is hugely encouraging, after two seasons that heralded just one major honor in the Carabao Cup.
Keeping him in Sloto’s ranks undoubtedly increases the chances of him challenging again in 2024/25, with Salah finishing the campaign as both top scorer and assist.
