Dan Ashworth is finally in the building, having agreed to become Manchester United’s new sporting director.

Former Chelsea technical director Christopher Vivell is also expected to join Ashworth at Old Trafford to help with United’s summer transfer window. These two quick moves from INEOS should shed more light on the Red Devils’ transfer plans.

However, irrespective of who United try to add to Erik ten Hag’s ranks, one thing is clear: the Premier League giants will have to raise funds in order to make major signings, owing to financial fair play regulations.

In that regard, Galatasaray could help United by signing not one but two of their stars this summer.

According to TEAMtalk, the Turkish outfit are plotting a double raid on United for Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Scott McTominay.

Wan-Bissaka has been heavily linked with Galatasaray this summer. Recently, The Peoples Person covered a report claiming the Istanbul-based outfit have already made a bid worth €15 million for the right-back.

However, TEAMtalk claims that Sir Jim Ratcliffe will not entertain a bid lower than €20m for Wan-Bissaka at this stage of the window.

The English right-back remains at the top of the Turkish champions’ shortlist but they are not prepared to spend that much to strengthen the position.

Still, they remain ‘in contact’ with his camp and talks are described as ‘positive’.

McTominay is also on their radar. The Scotland international proved himself as a vital player under Ten Hag last season with 10 goals across all competitions. But Ratcliffe is open to selling the academy product.

Having already failed in their attempt to sign both McTominay and Wan-Bissaka after submitting a bid of £21m for the pair, Galatasaray are ready to test United’s resolve once again. The English side ‘laughed off’ their offer last month.

McTominay has also attracted interest from  Fulham. It is being reported that Fulham boss Marco Silva has ‘pinpointed’ the Scottish midfielder as a ‘potential summer recruit’. The London outfit are close to parting ways with their midfield engine, João Palhinha.
