Luciano Acosta had another big night for FC Cincinnati, with a goal and two assists in Saturday’s 6-1 win against Inter Miami at TQL Stadium.
Acosta’s two assists gave him 50 in a three-year span, the third-highest total in MLS history.
In addition, Acosta’s 10th goal of the season in MLS play was his 50th goal in all comps with the club. The club reported that he’s the first FCC player to reach that mark.
MLS Communications tweeted about another of Acosta’s feats: becoming the fourth player in MLS history with 10 goals and 10 assists in four different seasons. But the text of the tweet read “0 assists,” instead of 10.
The tweet read as follows: “@fccincinnati’s Luciano Acosta became the fourth player in MLS history to record at least 10 goals and 0 assists in four different seasons.”
