On Wednesday night, the Copa Tejas — the fan-created trophy awarded to the best MLS team in Texas each season — is up for grabs. Austin FC claimed the Copa Tejas each of the last two seasons and will be hungry to reserve in-state bragging rights for the third straight year.
At Toyota Stadium on Wednesday, the math is simple for Austin and Dallas. Under new rules for this season, in which Copa Tejas standings are determined by points-per-game in games between Texas teams, Austin would lift the trophy with either a win or a tie in Frisco. Dallas would do so with a win of their own.
Fans can watch the game in English or Spanish with the MLS Season Pass on Apple TV, or listen on local radio in English on iHeart Radio’s Alt 97.5 and in Spanish on Univision’s TUDN Radio Austin (104.3-HD2, KLQB-FM). Kickoff is at 7:30pm CT.
