The Arlington Renegades have made a couple of moves, signing OL Isaiah Prince and DL Darryl Johnson. Darryl’s Letter Of Intent has not yet been officially announced by the UFL.

OT Isaiah Prince

Isaiah Prince brings a lot of experience to the offensive line for Arlington. He was a three year starter at Ohio State, and as a Team Captain during his senior year, earned First-Team All-Big Ten Conference honors.

Prince has some NFL minutes on his resume over the past few years. He signed with the Miami Dolphins in 2019, but later moved to the Bengals that season. After spending some time on and off of the Bengals roster, he was picked up by the Broncos. Most recently, Prince was with the Atlanta Falcons during the NFL 2023 preseason.

Isaiah brings depth and versatility to a stout Arlington offensive line. The Renegades featured one of the stronger offensive lines in the UFL, and now get even better with the addition of Prince.

DL Darryl Johnson

Similar to Prince, Darryl Johnson is another signee who has been at the pro level for some time. He played his college football at North Carolina A&T, totaling 116 tackles and 19 sacks across three seasons. Johnson earned MEAC Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2018, and was named to the First-team All-MEAC list twice (2017, 2018).

Darryl was selected by the Bills in the 2019 NFL Draft, in the seventh round. He saw some legitimate production in Buffalo from 2019-2020, posting 29 tackles and two sacks.

Since then, Johnson has searched to find a way to get back to maintaining a roster spot in the NFL. He’s been with the Panthers and Seahawks, but injuries and unfortunate circumstances have held him back from sticking with a team.

Now, he’ll have an opportunity to rejuvenate his pro career in the UFL, with the Arlington Renegades.

Final Thoughts

For General Manager Rick Mueller & Co., these are the first signings for Arlington since the UFL season came to a close. The Renegades were a measly 3-7 in 2024, after earning an XFL Championship title in 2023. Granted, the talent on this roster was impressive this year, it was more so a matter of their lack of execution in important moments.

That said, the Arlington Renegades could certainly use some more pieces at specific positions. Strengthening the lines is a great start, and could be a sign for the direction Arlington goes in this offseason: targeting players with NFL experience.
