Manchester United’s summer window is well underway with a couple of key additions already added to Erik ten Hag’s first team squad in the shape of Joshua Zirkzee and Lenny Yoro.

INEOS are expected to continue their summer spend but do need to offload some players to raise funds to aid them in their quest to add further quality all across the pitch.

Scott McTominay is one of the names on the list of potential outgoings and the midfielder has been the subject of interest from multiple clubs.

Turkish giants Galatasaray are in the running to sign the academy graduate and have submitted an improved offer after their first bid of €15m was rejected.

As reported by Sport Witness, Turkish media claim Gala have upped their offer to somewhere in the region of €20m to secure the services of the Scot.

This comes after Fulham reportedly made a bid of a similar amount for the player who looks more and more likely to leave Old Trafford with each passing week.

United are expected to turn down the bid from Turkey and are holding out for close to £30 million.

INEOS will hope to spark a bidding war between the two clubs and any other interested parties which could end up going above and beyond the current price tag.

Despite not possessing the overall quality and tactical nous to regularly start in United’s midfield, McTominay would be a handy addition for the Turks.

Given the licence to roam, McTominay has proved for United and at international level that he can provide a major threat and does have an eye for goal.

McTominay has been in United’s first team for the best part of seven seasons and has chalked up over 250 games for the Red Devils.

The 27-year-old featured 43 times last season, scoring 10 goals and is contracted to the club until June 2025, who also have the option to extend this for another year.

Given the potential two years left on his contract, United will almost certainly hold out for their asking price with players of McTominay’s ability regularly moving for higher fees.

INEOS will be ready to pump any funds back into the first team with deals for Manuel Ugarte and Matthijs de Ligt reportedly close to completion.
