Manchester United have confirmed that the remaining players who were away with their respective national teams have returned to Carrington for training.

United wrote via their official website, “The last members of Manchester United’s international contingent who were away on their summer breaks have returned to Carrington.”

“Kobbie Mainoo, Lisandro Martinez, Facundo Pellistri and Luke Shaw reported for testing at our base, following the tournament exertions with their respective countries.”

“The manager and his coaching staff will be ensuring the focus switches, firstly, to Saturday’s Community Shield against Manchester City.”

Mainoo and Shaw played key roles as England reached the final of Euro 2024, where they unfortunately fell short as the Three Lions were beaten by Spain.

Martinez was a regular starter for Argentina as they won the Copa America. Alejandro Garnacho was named in the Albiceleste’s squad by Lionel Scaloni but he mostly had to be content with a place on the bench.

Meanwhile, Pellistri was an important player for Uruguay in their Copa America campaign.

Earlier on Monday, United published a video of Mainoo, Shaw, Martinez and Pellistri arriving at Carrington, fresh off their exploits on the international stage.

Last Friday United welcomed back Altay Bayindir, Diogo Dalot, Bruno Fernandes and Garnacho.

Apart from the injured players including Leny Yoro, Rasmus Hojlund and Will Fish, Ten Hag now has a full squad of players to work with ahead of the Community Shield clash vs. Pep Guardiola’s men.

The Wembley event is set to kick off at 15:00 BST.

Ten Hag is scheduled to speak to the media later this week to give his remarks ahead of the highly-anticipated Manchester derby.
