Romano posted on X this morning that the United man’s £15 million transfer to the Hammers is hours away from completion.
“Aaron Wan-Bissaka, in London now for medical tests as new West Ham player — formal process has just started,” the reporter posted.
“He will sign five year contract later today.”

Despite attempts by Inter Milan to engineer an exchange deal with Denzel Dumfries, the 26 year old always looked bound for the London stadium after it emerged he was keen to return to the capital this summer.
Negotiations have dragged on, initially with the two clubs haggling over the transfer fee and later due to Wan-Bissaka reportedly demanding a multi-million pound compensation package for leaving United.
However, all fell into place over the last 48 hours and now the deal is set to be finalised.
The transfer fee of £15 million represents excellent business for United, especially considering they are set to replace him with Noussair Mazraoui for a lower base price (€15 million or £12.83m).
Although there are bonuses that could raise the eventual fee for the Moroccan by €5m/£4.3 more, Bayern have agreed to spread the payments over three years, leaving United well in pocket after the two transactions go through.
Details of Wan-Bissaka’s negotiated compensation package have not yet emerged. There was talk of his demand being for as much as £7 million with whatever final figure being potentially split between the two clubs.
“The Spider” made 190 appearances for United following his 2019 transfer from Crystal Palace and scored two goals.
He will probably be remembered as one of the best one-vs-one tacklers the club has ever seen, but it was his limited offensive abilities that were his achilles heel, especially at a top club where the football is played predominantly on the front foot.
