Scott McTominay has completed his move from Manchester United to SSC Napoli.

The transfer has been officially announced by the Serie A side.

The news was posted on X by Napoli club president, Aurelio de Laurentiis, and reposted by the club.

De Laurentiis simply posted “Benvenuto Scott” – “Welcome Scott” – with a photo of the Scotsman signing his contract on the pitch at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.

The club itself then added a post saying “Scott is proud to be one of us.”

United also posted twice, saying “The Red who lived his dream …Your United family wishes you nothing but success in this new chapter…”

And “Played like you meant it. Thanks for everything, Scott:”

The United academy graduate has signed a five year deal at the Italian club.

The transfer fee was €30.4 million (£25.6m). United also negotiated a 10% sell-on clause in the deal.

McTominay could make his debut for gli Azzurri tomorrow at 7.45pm UK time, when they take on Parma.

The 27 year old will be reunited with former teammate Romelu Lukaku, who has also completed a switch to the Naples side from Chelsea.

Napoli are also in a race against time to sign McTominay’s international teammate, Billy Gilmour, from Brighton before the window closes tonight at 11pm.
