With more than 100 medals from Special Olympics, Patrice Jeter He is an accomplished athlete. From bocce to bowling, cheerleading, figure skating and gymnastics, she proudly displays medals from every sport, and every victory, on her wall. Patrice acts as a mentor to his colleagues Special Olympics New Jersey Athletes and advocate for the rights of people with disabilities everywhere.

Patrice has fought discrimination against people with disabilities since childhood, being bullied at school, forced to live in an institution and facing discrimination in the workplace. Through the support of Gary and her community, including Special Olympics, Patrice became her own advocate.

Hamilton local Patrice works as a crossing guard, competes in figure skating at her community rink and creates art for all occasions. Telling Patrice’s story is an attempt to capture this magnetic, multifaceted and incredibly complex spirit. Starring in the feature-length documentary that tells her life story, Patrice: The MoviePatrice fights for love, and fights for equality in her own style.
