Nealonis another Special Olympics athlete who has gone from competing with Special Olympics to now being a journalist and reporter for Special Olympics and espn. RJ has worked on numerous high-profile sporting events with Special Olympics and outside partners, and also interviewed ESPN sportscaster, Kevin Negandhi, at Special Olympics USA about how his career with ESPN began and has grown.
Earlier this year, RJ was part of the team that led sessions with newly appointed recruits Special Olympics World Sports Congress (GAC) and Sargent Shriver Russell International (SSGMs) while in Washington, D.C. for leadership training. âRJ shows how great work is done when athletes are empowered to tell their stories and the stories of others. RJ is not a journalist with a disability, he is simply a good journalist.â
