Manchester United winger Amad Diallo has seemingly made his case for more minutes and starting opportunities, via a message sent via social media.
Amad started the season as an important member of the team, with sacked manager Erik ten Hag regularly including him in his starting XI.
However, the Dutchman appeared to have a puzzling change of heart as he demonstrated a preference for a wing pairing of Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho – a state of affairs that has carried on under interim boss Ruud van Nistelrooty.
In recent games, Amad has seen his playing time reduced significantly and he has had to be content with a place on the bench.
Whenever he has come on as a substitute, the Ivorian has often appeared lively and dangerous. Indeed, a report covered by The Peoples Person relayed that the Fenerbahce backroom staff were left surprised by Ten Hag’s bizarre handling of Amad.
He has so far managed eight Premier League appearances, with half of them coming as starts. Amad is averaging just 49 minutes of action per appearance in England’s top flight.
Despite this, he currently ranks in seventh position in Europe’s top-five leagues for most progressive runs per 90- an impressive feat considering he has not played as much as both he and the fans would have liked.

Manchester City’s Jeremy Doku leads this ranking with 9.32 progressive runs per 90. Jeremie Boga (OGC Nice), Vinicius Junior (Real Madrid), Bradley Barcola (Paris Saint-Germain) and Savio Moreira (Manchester City) round up the top five.
Ousmane Dembele comes in at sixth with 7.38 progressive runs per 90. Amad slots in at seventh with 7.22.
Progressive runs refer to when a player runs towards the opponent’s goal with the ball.
Amad took to his official Instagram account on Tuesday and posted these statistics on his stories, perhaps as a reminder to United of his his capabilities when given the chance.
The 22-year-old certainly offers something different in attack and the team could do with him starting matches.
Amad and his teammates return to Europa League action on Thursday when they host Greek side PAOK FC.
