On September 25, Oman made history by hosting the first ever regional Train the Trainers (TTT) event! This pioneering event brought together 15 trainees from Oman, Kuwait, Egypt and Bahrain in an intensive training program aimed at enhancing the skills of healthcare professionals in supporting individuals suffering from… Intellectual disabilities.

The event began with comprehensive training sessions, followed by preparation Screening of healthy athletes. The next day, 100 athletes received crucial health support FunFitness and FitFeet Offers. These checks are not just about health, they are about empowerment. The program is officially accredited by the Oman Medical Specialties Board (OMSB), with participants receiving 7 credit points for continuing medical education. This accreditation is a huge leap forward in developing the skills of healthcare professionals and improving care for individuals with intellectual disabilities in the region.

OMSB’s accreditation of FunFitness is a historic achievement. As the governing body responsible for postgraduate medical education and training in the Sultanate of Oman, OMSB is renowned for its rigorous standards in medical education, research and patient care. The seven CME credits awarded for this program reflect the high quality of training, making it a sought-after professional development opportunity for physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals.
