Aaron Wan-Bissaka has completed his transfer from Manchester United to West Ham United.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano reported the news this evening.

Romano posted on X: “Aaron Wan-Bissaka has signed his new West Ham contract right now with Tim Steidten!”

The move has not been made official by the clubs yet, but this is expected to follow shortly.

The fee for the full back is reported to be £15 million.

Whilst this represents a big loss on the £50 million United paid for him, it is more than the base fee United are set to pay for his replacement, Noussair Mazraoui, and represents decent business in the current financial slump engulfing the Premier League.

The 26 year old played 190 times for the Red Devils, scoring two goals.

Both of those goals came in the 2020/21 season, one against Newcastle in a 4-1 win and the other against Southampton in a 9-0 rout.

Nicknamed “the Spider” for his seemingly telescopic legs that always seemed to be the first to the ball in a challenge, Wan-Bissaka was a popular player among the United faithful.

He is returning to his native London after five years in Manchester.

The Peoples Person team wish him every success in the future, excepting, of course, when the Hammers are playing United.
