Alex Albon faces a wait to see if his qualifying result at the Dutch Grand Prix will stand after a potential breach of the technical regulations was noted by F1’s governing body, the FIA.

Albon impressed throughout Saturday afternoon’s session at the Zandvoort Circuit, with the Thai-British racer progressing to the pole position shootout and eventually securing eighth on the grid.

He did so in a heavily updated Williams, which this weekend features an upgraded diffuser, sidepod inlet, engine cover, central air intake and floor body.

However, a report from Jo Bauer, the FIA F1 Technical Delegate, noted a potential issue relating to that floor body post-qualifying, with the matter being passed on to the stewards.
