ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — It took until the third quarter, but Amari Cooper’s first reception with the Buffalo Bills resulted in six points and gave the Bills their first lead of the game.
Buffalo got the ball at the Titans’ 44-yard line after a failed fourth-down conversion attempt from Tennessee. The Bills’ offense then went 41 yards on six plays, including an impressive catch near the sideline by tight end Dalton Kincaid, ending with a 12-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Josh Allen to Cooper in his first game with the team after being traded from the Browns on Tuesday.
Lined up in the slot, Cooper ran past Titans safety Quandre Diggs into the end zone, where Allen found him for the score.
“Cooooop” was heard around the stadium in celebration.
The scoring drive was the Bills’ longest drive of the day and started the half on a positive note offensively after five first-half punts.
