The basketball summer circuit is in the rearview mirror and the start of the high school basketball season is not far away. The Wootten 150 Camp serves as an annual fall preview of sorts, providing a two-day, invitation-only platform for some of the nation’s top high school players.
This year was no exception. The camp hosted representatives from 29 NBA teams, members of the McDonald’s All American Committee and the National Scouting Service to evaluate talent. McDonald’s All American Game Chair Joe Wooten and his wife, Terri Lynn Wooten, who is the game director, led and organized the camp. A mix of great coaches from the Nevada and Washington DC area led their team.
After a weekend of watching all the players in action, here’s who stood on the court. Production, basketball IQ, rebounding and defensive output were all taken into consideration, as were competitiveness, coachability and body language. Who can increase recruitment interest this year?
