Bayern Munich have begun negotiations to sign Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes.

According to Portuguese outlet O Jogo, the German giants are reportedly already in talks with Fernandes’ agent Miguel Pinha.

The Bavarians are not the only club that likes Fernandes.

Barcelona have also shown great interest and could open negotiations soon.

The Catalan club see Fernandes as a key addition to their squad as they aim to regain domestic and European glory.

Fernandes has just completed his fifth season at Man United, making 48 appearances and providing 15 goals and 13 assists in the 2023/24 season.

His leadership on and off the pitch was crucial for United.

With the European Championship on the horizon, Fernandes’ potential exit from Old Trafford could be finalized in this period.

United will face a significant challenge if they lose Fernandes, who has been key to their attacking play and overall strategy.

The club will need to explore suitable replacements to maintain their competitive edge in the Premier League and Europe.

Erik ten Hag’s future will play a big part in Fernandes’ decision.

Ten Hag have always backed the Portuguese midfielder, making him captain in place of Harry Maguire.

Should United decide to part ways with the Dutch manager, they could consider cashing in on Fernandes and look at someone younger in that position.
