The real Salt Lake Striker Chicho Arango has presented his candidate for MLS goal of the year, with a stunning effort in the counter half Austin FC Saturday night.
The Colombian striker took his time in midfield, spied the Austin FC goalkeeper Brad Stover off his line and unleashed a perfectly placed shot that sailed off the far post and into the top corner of the net.

The goal was just the latest highlight in a stellar season for Arango so far. The Colombian continued with two more goals for him. completed a hat trick later in that game against Austin and currently leads MLS with 16 goals this season, two more than DC United Christian Benteke and three ahead Inter Miami DOUBLE Lionel Messi AND Luis Suarez.
The goal instantly goes down in the annals of the best long shots in MLS history, one of the most recent of which also came from Real Salt Lake in strikingly similar fashion. He, from the midfielder Pablo Ruizcame last year against DC United:
