Manchester United’s victory in the FA Cup final put a cap on an extremely poor season as a whole.
The club limped to the bottom of the league and were relegated early in the Champions League and Carabao Cup.

“I was also a little lucky that I didn’t sit on the bench that much when I was younger. But I did it from time to time. It’s never fun, that’s for sure.
“Personally, you always want to be the first to be picked in the team. Sometimes the coach looks the other way. But then, I play for United. It’s just a battle for places because there are a lot of good players.”
It is, as expected, an extremely mature answer from a top professional who is respected by everyone in the world of football.
Eriksen acknowledged the reality of his situation and probably hinted that last season was not what he was looking for in the final years of his career.
Perhaps a change of club is on the horizon, where he could be a more important part of the team. It is certain that, should a move happen, he will leave with the best wishes of everyone at the club.
