There are two wildly conflicting reports circulating about whether Aaron Wan-Bissaka has agreed personal terms with West Ham United or not.

The Manchester United man looks set to leave the club this summer amidst rumours he would like to return to his home town of London.

United are reportedly willing to accept just £15 million for the right back, for whom they paid £50 million from Crystal Palace in 2019. But the Hammers have still not agreed to this price and are trying to seal a deal for closer to £10 million.

Meanwhile, personal terms need to be agreed, bearing in mind that reports claim that he has “previously turned down a move” to the London club.

According to The Athletic, “West Ham still need to agree a deal with Manchester United and Wan-Bissaka — there is no progress on either.”

But another outlet, Claret and Hugh, cite “a top West Ham source” as saying that although last week there was a difference between Wan-Bissaka’s wage expectations and what the Hammers were willing to offer, “it now seems a compromise has been reached, and the player is happy to move back to London.”

The outlet also claims that “all that remains is for the transfer fee to be agreed upon, and it is understood that the two clubs are not far apart in their valuation.”

They also say “United has briefed Sky Sports News in Germany that they expect the transfer of Wan-Bissaka to West Ham to go through imminently, although contrary to reports, a medical has not yet been booked.”

If a deal to take Wan-Bissaka to the London Stadium is indeed imminent, it paves the way for United to complete a deal for Noussair Mazraoui of Bayern Munich.

That deal is also subject to conflicting reports, however, with some claiming a deal has been reached with both Bayern and the player, while others claim the two clubs have not yet agreed a fee.

Wan-Bissaka is currently on tour with the Red Devils and is the only right back in the entire travelling squad.

It could therefore be that even if Claret and Hugh’s report is true, there could be a few days’ delay before the player is able to return to the UK to complete a medical and sign the deal.
