Ryan Day and the Ohio State Buckeyes got another notable addition to the nation’s top college football recruiting class in the 2025 cycle on Sunday, securing a commitment from safety Fahim Delaney, the No. 52 overall prospect in the 2025 ESPN 300.

Dellen, a standout defensive back at Good Counsel High School in Maryland, chose Ohio State over LSU and Oregon after an official visit with the Buckeyes over the weekend. He is ESPN’s second-ranked recruit in the state of Maryland and the No. 4 safety in the 2025 class.

He becomes the latest member of the star-studded class the Buckeyes are assembling in the latest recruiting cycle. The 6-foot-3, 210-pound defender represents Ohio State’s ninth commitment from inside the ESPN 300’s top 150 in 2025, and Dellen has emerged as one of the strongest defensive classes nationally.

Along with Dellen, the Buckeyes hold commitments from the top two cornerbacks in the 2025 class in Naeem Offord (No. 6 overall) and Devin Sanchez (No. 12), as well as defensive end London Merritt (No. 36) and outside linebacker Tarvos Alford (No. 59).
