FC Cincinnati’s Luca Orellano has been voted the Major League Soccer Player of the Matchday for Matchday 16, the league announced Monday.Orellano is the sixth player in FC Cincinnati history to win the award and the first since Luciano Acosta won the award twice last season.Orellano recorded his first career MLS brace in FCC’s 4-3 road comeback victory over Toronto FC on Saturday night, scoring two goals on six shot attempts.The 24-year-old Orellano is also the youngest player to be named Player of the Matchday this season. The MLS Player of the Matchday is selected each matchday of the regular season through both media and fan voting.FCC head coach Pat Noonan was also named to the Team of the Matchday. The Orange & Blue, winners of seven straight matches, will host Nashville SC at TQL Stadium on Wednesday night.
