For the first time in a long time, Manchester United were clinical in the transfer market, bringing in five players to address the various gaps in the squad.

Apart from incomings, INEOS also deserve praise for the money raised through sales, the most in a single window thus far with outgoings generating over €100 million.

While Scott McTominay’s departure was not a universally popular choice, the decision to let go of Jadon Sancho for a huge loss will ultimately be seen as a positive with both the club and player set to benefit from the separation.

It was clear that despite the positive talks during the summer, Erik ten Hag and the Englishman did not see eye-to-eye and after what transpired last season, INEOS did the right thing in the end.

Sancho impressing at Chelsea

The former Manchester City academy graduate made his debut for Chelsea against Bournemouth and supplied the assist for their winning goal.

And United stars congratulated the forward on social media and it seems, the England international has impressed his new manager Enzo Maresca with his attitude on the training pitch.

Givemesport have revealed that the 24-year-old started training earlier than anticipated and made quite an impression on the training ground staff.

This seems to be a far-cry from what had transpired during his time at Old Trafford with reports of the player being late to training, playing games till late night and generally not performing up to expectations in training were regular sights.

“Jadon Sancho’s move to Chelsea has already got off to a flying start after his assist in the Blues’ 1-0 win over Bournemouth at the weekend – and GIVEMESPORT sources have revealed that the former England international has impressed boss Enzo Maresca with his attitude.

“GIVEMESPORT sources have revealed that Chelsea believe Sancho and Noni Madueke playing on either flank are the perfect profiles for Maresca – and their inclusion allows Cole Palmer to play as the advanced No. 8 position in his favoured position in the centre of the park.

Attitude has impressed Chelsea boss

“Maresca has already been impressed by Sancho’s attitude, according to sources, who state that he has already made a real impression at Cobham – including arriving at training earlier than scheduled in his first week and taking his time to introduce himself to training ground staff.”

The Chelsea boss had a personal chat with the player and promised him a clean slate, something the player appreciated and made him choose Chelsea as his next club.

United fans never saw the best from the player and while Ten Hag has his faults, Sancho throwing all his toys out of the pram while at the club certainly did not help.

It is time to move on and with Amad Diallo and Alejandro Garnacho impressing, hopefully, the Red Devils will not miss Sancho too much and get the required results moving forward.
