Everyone was predicting a tight Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix, but few had expected the top two to be covered by less than a second at the chequered flag. That, however, was exactly what we got at Imola.
Polesitter Max Verstappen looked to have things firmly under control for much of the race, but in the closing stages it became clear that Lando Norris was going to make the world champion really work for the win.

As the Red Bull and McLaren drivers duelled up front, it was left to Charles Leclerc to score a distant but well-received home podium for Ferrari, the second McLaren of Oscar Piastri separating him from Scuderia team mate Carlos Sainz.
