George Russell bounced back from his Friday issues to top the timesheets in FP3 at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix weekend.

The Mercedes driver faced reliability woes on the first day of running, as he admitted to ‘struggling’ with the car on track, but on Saturday he was up to speed as he posted the quickest time ahead of Charles Leclerc and Lando Norris.

However, it was a session to forget for Haas super-sub Ollie Bearman who crashed out at Turn 1 – the 19-year-old unable to find the run-off area in time before colliding with the wall.

Esteban Ocon also had another premature end to his practice session, the Alpine driver having to stop on track with an issue.
