Two of the best teams in MLS meet up under the bright lights in South Florida on Saturday, June 1.

Inter Miami and St. Louis SC are set to meet at Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Both teams are looking to get back to winning ways, with Inter Miami losing in mid-week action to Atlanta, while St. Louis has lost three on the bounce.

The visitors this weekend had the full week to prepare for this match, so we will see if tired legs from Inter Miami’s veteran stars affect the outcome.

The Sporting News is following the Inter Miami vs. St. Louis match live, providing score updates, commentary and highlights as they happen.

Inter Miami vs. St. Louis lineups, team news

Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba are all available for selection. It may be the last game for more than a month for Messi, Suarez, Matias Rojas, and others who are eligible for selection for Copa America or Euro 2024, so Inter Miami will want to send them off with a big performance.

For others, like Benjamin Cremaschi, he will likely be around until the start of the 2024 Summer Olympics, where he’s expected to be named to the U.S. roster.

Inter Miami projected starting lineup (4-3-3): Callender (GK) — Weigandt, Aviles, Kryvtsov, Alba — Gressel, Busquets, Cremaschi — Messi, Suarez, Rojas.

Inter Miami subs (9): (Lineups released one hour prior to kickoff)

St. Louis City lost midfielder Tomas Ostrak this year for the rest of the season due to an ankle tendon injury, another brutal loss for a team that has dealt with its share of injuries this year. One change we could see this weekend is Aziel Jackson coming back into the starting lineup.

St. Louis City projected starting lineup (4-2-3-1): Burki (GK) — Totland, Parker, Nilsson, Hiebert — Lowen, Durkin — Vassilev, Jackson, Alm — Klauss.
