HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison Athletics has announced its full promotional schedule for the 2024 football season. The Dukes will host six regular-season games this season at Bridgeforth Stadium/Zane Showker Field. The 2024 campaign will be JMU’s first as a full FBS member after finishing atop the Sun Belt East in both reclassifying seasons. The Dukes earned their first-ever Bowl game appearance last season, finishing 11-2.

After opening the season at Charlotte on August 31, the promotional slate kicks off on September 7 when JMU hosts Gardner-Webb for Hall of Fame Weekend, celebrating the 20-year anniversary of the 2004 National Championship team. Members of the 2024 Hall of Fame induction class will be honored during the game. First year students can register now for the First Year Charge, presented by SunChase. Discounted Community Day tickets, presented by Aire Serv, will be available at a later date. 
 
Following the home opener, the Dukes have a bye week before traveling to North Carolina for a September 21 contest. JMU returns to Bridgeforth Stadium on September 28 for Family Weekend against Ball State. Stay tuned for more Family Weekend details from the Office of Family Engagement!
 
JMU hosts Coastal Carolina for a nationally-televised Thursday night game on October 10. Sing the fight song proud and true and wear white to the Brighten the Lights of Madison White Out!
 
Join us back at Bridgeforth Stadium for Homecoming and our Power of Purple game on Oct. 26. Registration for the Duke Dog Dash, QuadFest, the Homecoming Tailgate and more will go live on the Alumni Website July 1. Check back for more details on the entire weekend. 
 

The Dukes finish the season with two home games in November, hosting Georgia State on November 9 and Marshall on November 30. The Georgia State game is a Black Ops Black Out game with multiple ticket promotions, including Heroes Day presented by Urgie’s Cheesesteaks, Faculty & Staff Appreciation presented by CommonWealth One and the 2024 Puppy Pound Party presented by Chick-fil-A. Senior Day is scheduled for pregame against Marshall.
 
JMU will host three color rush games in the fall (White Out vs Coastal Carolina, Purple Out vs Southern Miss, Black Out vs Georgia State). Fans are encouraged to show their JMU pride and wear purple to all other home games!

The priority deadline for 2024 season tickets is May 15 with anticipation of capacity sales. Fans can join the season ticket waitlist at JMUTickets.com, or by calling 540-568-3853 or visiting the JMU Athletics Ticket Office inside the Atlantic Union Bank Center. Single game tickets go on sale June 24 for Duke Club members, and July 1 for the public.
