JOHNNY Fisher’s ‘Bosh Army’ returns to the Copper Box Arena on September 28 as their hero tackles Andriy Rudenko on a Matchroom show. This fight was due to take place on the same date in Sheffield’s Utilita Arena as part of the supporting cast for Dalton Smith vs Jon Fernandez before Smith withdrew injured.

Fisher headlined the Copper Box in July when he blasted away Alen Babic in under a minute. That contest was supposed to be an all-out war, but Fisher had other ideas. 40-year-old Rudenko is likely to provide stiffer opposition.

The battle-hardened Ukrainian introduced himself as a sturdy test for prospects and contenders, going the distance with Lucas Browne, Hughie Fury, Alexander Povetkin, Agit Kabayel, and Zhilei Zhang. More recent stoppage losses to Vladyslav Sirenko and Jared Anderson suggest that the cast iron chin may now have been cracked. Johnny Fisher will seek to continue that trend.

Joining Fisher from the original Sheffield date is Rhiannon Dixon, who defends her WBO lightweight title against Terri Harper. Dixon won the belt in April, outpointing Karen Carbajal over 10 rounds.

Still recovering from a shock KO loss, Peter McGrail faces Brad Foster. A host of young prospects make up the remainder of the card.
