Leny Yoro and Jadon Sancho will take part in Manchester United’s pre-season friendly against Rangers today at Murrayfield.

Yoro starts the game despite only having joined the club three days ago.

Andre Onana returns in goal.

Yoro comes in for the injured Will Fish, with the rest of the backline unchanged from the side that played Rosenborg on Monday, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka at right back, Sam Murray at left back and Jonny Evans at left centre-back.

In midfield, the promising Toby Collyer starts alongside Mason Mount and Casemiro. Mount is likely to play the more advanced role.

Sancho makes a welcome return on the left wing, with Amad Diallo on the right wing and youngster Ethan Wheatley up front.

There are no other first team regulars in the squad.

Marcus Rashford missed training yesterday with a slight knock, while Harry Maguire has only just resumed training. Victor Lindelof and Antony’s continued absences have been explained as “slight niggles” by the club. Scott McTominay returned to training yesterday but it was too soon for him to take part.

The rest of the first team squad are still on holiday following their international exploits over the summer.

The subs bench comprises Dermot Mee, Radek Vitek, Sonny Aljofree, Harry Amass, Rhys Bennett, Habeeb Ogunneye, Hannibal, Jack Fletcher, Sam Mather, Maxi Oyedele, James Scanlon, Ethan Ennis and Joe Hugill.

Most of them will get a chance in the second half as we expect wholesale changes at half time.

Kick off at Murrayfield is at 4pm. Manager Erik ten Hag will be looking for a significant improvement on Monday’s lacklustre performance in Norway.
