Boxing News 24 will provide updates and results below of the action:
– Steven Nelson kept his perfect record untarnished, moving up to 19-0-0 after sending Marcos Vázquez Rodríguez to the canvas more times than we needed to count in their super middleweight bout. After hitting the canvas twice in the third and once more in the fifth, he was mercifully counted out.
– On the other end of the hype spectrum, Ziyad Almaayouf and Michal Bulik scraped through a welterweight fight that ended in a controversial majority draw. Almaayouf, supposedly the next big thing with a 5-0-0 record, couldn’t quite convince all the judges he deserved the win against Bulik, whose less-than-stellar 6-7-0 record should have made him an easy target.

This is a do-or-die fight for the ambitious go-getter Crawford (40-0, 31 KOs), who needs a win and an entertaining one to keep alive his dreams of fighting Canelo Alvarez.
Madrimov could ruin Crawford’s hopes by beating him or giving him enough problems that he’ll look his age. He turns 37 in September.

12 x 3 mins WBA Super-Welterweight World Title & WBO Interim Title: TERENCE CRAWFORD 153.4 lbs (69.6 kg, Omaha, USA) vs. ISRAIL MADRIMOV 154 lbs (69.9 kg, Chiva, Uzbekistan)
Much attention was paid to the heavyweight fight between Andy Ruiz Jr. and Jarrell Miller during the build-up. ‘Big Baby’ Miller (26-1-1, 22 KOs) has stolen the spotlight from Crawford with his trash-talking and natural charisma.
The two oversized heavyweights are looking to place themselves in a position to compete for a world title, and it will be interesting for fans to see which of them emerges as the winner.
WBA light welterweight champion Isaac Cruz has a dangerous first defense of his belt against ‘Rayo’ Valenzuela (13-2, 9 KOs) in a fight that can go either way. Although ‘Ptibull’ Cruz is considered the favorite, the 5’10” Rayo’s power, huge size, and Lomachenko-esque fighting style give him a real chance of winning tonight.
Rayo, who has one-punch power and is the bigger puncher of the two, could end the fight if he catches Cruz with one of his shots.
Many fans are watching David Morrell (10-0, 9 KOs) in this event because he’s one of the two fighters vying to fight the winner of the Artur Beterbiev vs. Dmitry Bivol fight.
The other is David Benavidez, but he could lose out to Morrell if the Cuban looks good tonight against Radivoje Kalajdzic. Morrell has got the Hollywood movie star looks, power, and style to make him a good choice to face the October 12th Beterbiev-Bivol winner.
Lightweight contender Andy Cruz fights Antonio Moran in a fight that will show whether the talented Cuban is ready to move to the next level against the higher-rung competition.
