On the heels of an underwhelming 1-1 draw against Charlotte FC and heading into the MLS All-Star Game, the Crew are looking to finish this regular-season stretch with one more victory.

Columbus is facing Atlanta United in Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Saturday. This is the club the Crew have played most in coach Wilfried Nancy’s tenure, which started with the 2023 season. Along with two scheduled regular-season games, Columbus and Atlanta met up in the three-game first round of the MLS Cup playoffs last year, and then in their 2024 regular-season opener.

But we are nearly five months removed from the last Crew-Atlanta meeting, and both teams have seen changes to their lineups. The Crew lost Aidan Morris and Atlanta sold designated players Thiago Almada and Giorgos Giakoumakis. But striker Cucho Hernandez still considers Atlanta a club Columbus “knows” well and could bounce back against, even if it isn’t with a high scoring performance.
