Luis Suarez will be in the USA with Uruguay, but now, at 37, he may not start, and Nunez prefers ahead of coach Bielsa.
However, that didn’t stop Nunez from handing the number 9 shirt back to Suarez upon his return to the team.
In second place, the former Liverpool youngster Liam Millar will be in the tournament with Canada, which is in the group with Argentina.
The striker made just one first-team appearance, against Shrewsbury in 2020, before making a permanent move to Basel in 2021. Last season he enjoyed a year on loan at Preston where he played 36 times.
