Bruno Fernandes is back in Manchester United’s starting line-up to face Newcastle United tonight.

The United captain has recovered from the injury that saw him miss the last two games of United’s campaign.

He is likely to play as a false nine, with Amado Diallo and Alejandro Garnacho on the wings. Scott McTominay is also on the side so he could also play an advanced role, either 10 in a 4-2-3-1 or more likely eight in a 4-3-3.

Rasmus Hojlund is rested and will start on the bench.

In the second place, Andre Onana is in goal.

Full backs are Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka. Casemiro and Jonny Evans continue at center back.

Sofyan Amrabat keeps his place in midfield alongside Kobbie Mainoo.

On the Hojlund bench are Altay Bayindir, Toby Collyer, Willy Kambwala, Lisandro Martinez, Christian Eriksen, Omari Forson, Marcus Rashford and Antony.

Martinez is likely to get some minutes towards the end of the game to be fit in time for the FA Cup final.

Raphael Varane, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia and Anthony Martial are still injured.

With Varane announcing he is leaving United at the end of the season and Martial all but confirming he has joined, it means the two Frenchmen will no longer see each other at Old Trafford in a United shirt.

Kick-off at Old Trafford is at 8 p.m.
