Manchester United have confirmed their 25-man travelling squad ahead of the club’s pre-season clash against Rosenborg.

Last week, a number of players returned to Carrington for training ahead of the upcoming 2024/25 season.

Most of the stars who made their way back were those not involved with their respective national teams during the ongoing summer tournaments.

United have now relayed that the squad to face Rosenborg will be boosted by some talented youngsters from the Academy.

The Red Devils departed from Manchester on Sunday afternoon, ready to meet Rosenborg at the Lerkendal Stadium in the first of two pre-season friendlies, before flying to the USA for Tour 2024.

United’s full group consists of three goalkeepers, 10 defenders, eight midfielders and four forwards.

The goalkeepers are Elyh Harrison, Dermot Mee and Radek Vitek. Erik ten Hag will be able to choose his backline from a pool of defenders consisting of stars such as Harry Amass, Sonny Aljofree, Rhys Bennett, Jonny Evans, Will Fish, Louis Jackson, Sam Murray, Habeeb Ogunneye, Maximillian Oyedele and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The midfielders include Casemiro, Toby Collyer, Jack Fletcher, Hannibal, Samuel Mather, Mason Mount, James Scanlon, and Ethan Williams.

Attackers who received the nod from Ten Hag are Ethan Ennis, Joe Hugill, Marcus Rashford and Ethan Wheatley.

United added on their website, “Harry Maguire is continuing to work on his recovery from injury at Carrington.”

“Andre Onana, Victor Lindelof, Amad, Antony and Jadon Sancho are all working on their fitness at the training ground in line with individual schedules.”

United vs. Rosenborg is set to kick off at 17:00 BST.
