Manchester United have confirmed fixture changes for two key away matches set to be played in October.

United will get the new 2024/25 Premier League season up and running when they host Fulham at Old Trafford on August 16, in what will be Erik ten Hag’s third season in charge.

The Red Devils were set to meet Unai Emery’s Aston Villa on Saturday 5 October at Villa Park.

United were also scheduled to come up against West Ham on Saturday 26 October.

Both fixtures have now been subjected to changes.

United relay via their official website, “Two of Manchester United’s matches in October have been given new dates, following the latest round of Premier League fixture changes.”

“Both of the affected games are away from home. The first, against Aston Villa, has been switched to Sunday 6 October from the previous day and will be broadcast live in the UK on Sky Sports.”

Proceedings at Villa Park are set to kick off at 14:00 BST.

“Our second fixture change in October impacts the trip to London Stadium, where we will now face West Ham United a day later than was initially scheduled.”

“Kick-off against the Hammers will be at 14:00 GMT on Sunday 27 October but the fixture is not earmarked for live TV coverage.”

United explain that the fixture change has taken place as a result of the club’s participation in the Europa League on the preceding Thursday night.

The 20-time English champions will also come up against Brentford at the same time and date that was provisionally announced, on Saturday 19 October at 15:00 BST.

The meeting with the Bees has not been selected for live TV coverage.

United’s October Premier League fixtures are as follows:

October 6: Aston Villa (A) – 14:00 BST (Live on Sky)
October 19: Brentford (H) – 15:00 BST
October 27: West Ham (A) – 14:00 GMT
