Left-back has been a consistent problem position for Manchester United, with manager Erik ten Haag starting the specialist in that position less than 40 percent of the time this season.

Tyrell Malacia ended up missing the entire season, while Luke Shaw was sidelined for 36 games. Even loan signing Sergio Reguilon started just seven games before his short-term contract was terminated.

Center back Victor Lindelof and defensive midfielder Sofyan Amrabat had to deputize in that position, and it’s safe to say, that ploy worked as expected.

In the last few months, the Dutch manager has alternated between right-back Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka in that position.

LB was a problem position for United

It is clear that the Englishman cannot be trusted to stay fit for a full season as the club consider a move for the Dutch full-back. A new left back has become somewhat of a priority at this stage.

But with limited funds and a number of areas in need or urgent reinforcements, the Red Devils may not have too much cash to fix this gaping hole.

HITC Football have brought in an intriguing name, Real Betis’ Juan Miranda, and his contract at the club expires this June, making him an even more interesting proposition.

“HITC previously revealed that Nice’s Marvin Bard was being watched, while we understand that Bradley Locko, Rayat Ait-Nouri and Juan Miranda have also been scouted in recent months.”

United are looking for free agent Miranda

The former Barcelona star made more than a century of appearances for the club during his four-year stay and helped them win the Copa del Rey in 21/22, their first top-flight trophy in 16 years.

This season, the Spaniard has played 31 games in all competitions, registering two goals and as many assists, and his former club remain interested, while Milan were also close to a deal earlier this season.

In England, both Crystal Palace and West Ham have also been linked with a move, and a deal with Bosman for the Spain international wouldn’t be the worst move, given his exploits.

A former La Masia product, the full-back once earned praise from the legendary Lionel Messi, and coupled with his age and potential, Miranda’s future is one to watch closely.
