Manchester United have had a major headache in their efforts to secure the services of Crystal Palace winger Michael Olisse in the upcoming summer transfer window.
United retain a strong interest in Olise and have him on their wish list as a top target. Both INEOS and the Red Devils’ scouting department are believed to be in agreement over their pursuit of the impressive Olise.
Despite his season being blighted by constant injuries, Olise still managed 10 goals and six assists in 19 Premier League appearances.
Unsurprisingly, Erik ten Hag’s side are not the only team chasing the Eagles star. Chelsea also have him on their radar and are said to be “bullish” on the prospect of snapping him up ahead of their rivals.
Olise is valued at a whopping £60million, which is believed to be the value of the release clause contained in his contract at Selhurst Park.
However, the rush for the 22-year-old is now likely to be complicated by the fact that he has been named in France’s provisional squad for the 2024 Olympics.

Manager Thierry Henry has included Olise in his squad, which could potentially cause problems with which team Olise starts the 2024/25 Premier League season with.
Olise’s call-up to Les Bleus means he would miss a large part of United’s pre-season tour and could even struggle to be available for the start of the new top-flight campaign.
The Olympic Games in Paris are scheduled to begin on July 24 and run until August 10. The Premier League season starts on August 17.
It is important to note that clubs are required to give players who have just returned from a tournament a rest period before returning to action.
France, who play the USA, Guinea and New Zealand in their group, are one of the favorites to win the competition. which includes 16 teams including Argentina and Spain. In addition to the French capital, six other cities will host matches, including Bordeaux, Marseille and Nice
It remains to be seen where this development will take United or if the 20-time English champions will continue to pursue the youngster.
