Manchester United have reportedly informed Bayern Munich star Noussair Mazraoui that they will seal a deal to bring him to Old Trafford.

In recent weeks, Mazraoui has emerged as United’s top target to reinforce the right-back position.

It’s looking increasingly likely that Aaron Wan-Bisaka will leave United, with a transfer to West Ham close to getting over the line.

Wan-Bissaka has reached an agreement over personal terms with West Ham and all that’s left is for the two Premier League clubs to reach middle ground over a transfer fee. Once Wan-Bissaka is successfully out the door, then Mazraoui will reunite with Erik ten Hag.

It’s understood that United have proposed a six-year deal, which Mazraoui and his representatives have accepted.

Last month, a report covered by The Peoples Person relayed that the Morocco international informed Bayern of his desire to exit the Allianz Arena and sign for the Red Devil.

It was also stated that United and Bayern agreed a fee of between £15m and £20m for the right-back.

Journalist Santi Aouna has given an update on the situation and indicated that United have assured Mazraoui that he will be plying his trade at the Theatre of Dreams ahead of the upcoming 2024/25 season.

Aouna wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “Manchester United has informed Noussair Mazraoui that the deal will be finalized.”

“Mazraoui awaits green light to leave Bayern Munich tour.”

“Last details to be settled between Manchester United and West Ham but Wan Bissaka has given his OK to join the Hammers.”

Mazraoui played under Ten Hag at Ajax in 2018, up until his departure to United four years later.

Ten Hag is of the opinion that Mazraoui can help unlock the ineffective Antony. The full-back supported Antony on the Eredivisie club’s right channel during their title-winning seasons of 2020/21 and 2021/2022. They enjoyed great success as a pair.
