Manchester United have made a formal bid to sign Swiss international Dan Ndoye from Bologna.
According to teamtalk, the offer marks the beginning of a potential £105 million triple signing strategy for the club this summer.
United’s interest in Ndoye has intensified following his impressive performances for both Bologna and the Swiss national team.
Ndoye, who scored three goals and provided five assists in Serie A last season, has also made a significant impact at Euro 2024, cementing his place in Switzerland’s starting eleven. Notably, he scored a first-time volley in Switzerland’s 1-1 draw with Germany.
According to Swiss media, United’s ‘concrete offer’ for the 23-year-old winger is valued at approximately £21 million, a considerable increase from the €9 million Bologna paid FC Basel for him last summer.
Bologna are reportedly open to cashing in on Ndoye, given his rising stock and the profit potential.
Ndoye is not the only target for United this transfer window.
The club is also reportedly confident in their pursuit of Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee.
Despite previous interest from Arsenal and AC Milan, United appear to be in pole position, with Bologna’s technical director Giovanni Sartori acknowledging a ‘99.9 per cent chance’ of Zirkzee leaving due to a release clause.
In addition to Ndoye and Zirkzee, United are in negotiations with Bayern Munich for defender Matthijs de Ligt.
Bayern are expected to demand a fee between £40-50 million for the Dutch centre-back, though some reports suggest United might secure him for as little as £34 million.
De Ligt is reportedly open to a move, facing stiff competition for his place in the Bayern lineup.
