Manchester United have scheduled a fresh round of talks with West Ham United in an effort to get the transfer of Aaron Wan-Bissaka over the line as quickly as possible.
Just two days ago, The Peoples Person relayed news that United had reached an agreement with West Ham over Wan-Bissaka’s departure from Old Trafford. What was missing, however, was the player’s approval.
Since then, however, conflicting reports have emerged regarding the status of Wan-Bissaka’s transfer, including claims that United and West Ham could not agree on the valuation of the player.
Now, however, it appears that there was indeed a disagreement, with United now believed to be working hard to get a deal over the line.
CaughtOffside reported this evening that sources have confirmed that United are set to enter a new round of talks with West Ham aimed at securing Wan-Bissaka’s exit.
The report claimed that United are desperate to move the right-back on as that would secure the funds necessary to sign Erik ten Hag’s desired replacement Noussair Mazraoui of Bayern Munich.
In addition to Mazraoui, the club was also looking at the likes of Denzel Dumfries of Inter Milan and Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong.
According to the article, however, United have already selected Mazraoui as their ideal candidate. While Dumfries appears set to sign a new four-year contract with Inter, Frimpong is priced way above United’s desired range.
United’s pursuit of Mazraoui seems to have made positive progress in recent days, with the Bayern right-back reportedly informing his current club that he wished to depart in order to secure a move to Old Trafford.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano added that United and Mazraoui have already agreed on personal terms.
🚨🔴 Understand the agreement reached between Man United and Noussair Mazraoui is on five year deal valid until June 2029.
It also includes an option for further year, 2030. Same as Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro.

Given his attacking talent and ability with the ball, Mazraoui appears to be an ideal candidate to replace Wan-Bissaka at right-back. United will no doubt be desperate to seal Wan-Bissaka’s exit in order to advance their transfer strategy.
