The opening day victory against Fulham was followed by a limp defeat at Brighton, rounding off Erik ten Hag side’s August fixtures.
United have today revealed the nominees for the clubs first Player of the of the Month award of the new campaign.

Summer signing Noussair Mazraoui is one of the three up for the gong after impressing in his first couple of outings in a United shirt.
The former Ajax man enjoyed a fine debut at the Theatre of Dreams in the 1-0 win against Fulham and despite failing to prevent Brighton scoring twice last weekend, he will be happy with his early shifts in a red shirt.
Amad Diallo scored United’s equaliser on the South Coast and has provided a constant threat in the first two games, starting ahead of £80 million man Antony in both.
The Ivorian will be desperate to keep his place in Ten Hag’s XI and has done nothing to harm his cause so far.
Alejandro Garnacho makes up the trio of nominees despite coming off the bench in the two fixtures.
The young Argentine changed the game in the curtain-raiser against Fulham, providing the cross for Joshua Zirkzee to poke home the late winner on the night.
He was also unlucky to see a goal ruled out at Brighton which potentially could have left United on six points from six.
Votes can be cast on the clubs official app with the winner set to be announced early in September.
United’s season continues with the mouthwatering visit of Liverpool to Old Trafford on Sunday and the three nominees will be desperate to leave their mark on the iconic fixture to extend their fine individual starts to the campaign.
