When the Seattle Mariners hit a home run, their first instinct is to grab their nearly 30-pound, six-and-a-half foot staff for their trident celebration.

But when star center fielder Julio Rodriguez is at bat, he’s celebrated in style in addition to his solid hitting.

On Wednesday, Major League Baseball posted Rodriguez’s glow-in-the-dark bat on social media.

In the dark, the bat gives off vibrant ultra blue glow, distinct from the black base color.

Rodriguez, 23, is no stranger to using unique bats. In 2022, Rodriguez became the sixth Mariners rookie to become an All-Star, where he participated in the Home Run Derby with a custom bat that spelled J-Rod in graffiti lettering. Rodriguez finished second behind then-Washington Nationals star Juan Soto.

The Mariners will look to cap off their three-game series with a sweep against the New York Yankees at 7:05 p.m. ET Wednesday. Rodriguez has two home runs and a .268 average at the plate this season.
