Liverpool ‘showed interest’ in Mbeuma

Arne Slott could join Liverpool’s attack this summer and it looks like the Premier League player is being seen as an option.

Mbeumo himself hinted that at this point in his career he might be eager for a new challenge, saying:

“I spent five seasons in Brentford, in a club that knew how to help me grow and take a step forward.

“But yes, I want to play in the biggest competitions, in the best clubs. It’s still tempting to see some big teams interested in me. We will see.”

A mostly right-footed and left-footed striker in the mold of Mohamed Salah, Mbeumo has 92 goal contributions in 200 appearances for Brentford, a solid return for a relative youngster.
