Austin FC has made its first big move under new sporting director Rodolfo Borrell, signing 25-year-old Ghanaian winger Osman Bukari on a three-and-a-half-year contract from Red Star Belgrade. He’ll be eligible to play in July.

Bukari won back-to-back Serbian league and cup titles and scored two goals and added two assists for Red Star in the 2023-24 UEFA Champions League. He has 17 caps for Ghana and scored three goals, one of which came against Portugal at the 2022 World Cup.

The signing comes less than two weeks after Austin FC bought out the contract of Argentine winger Emiliano Rigoni, making room on its roster for another Designated Player.

What They’re Saying: “Osman is a fast and technical winger,” said Borrell, “with a proven ability to get goals and assists competing at some of the highest levels of club football.”

Minnesota United unloads Emanuel Reynoso

Minnesota United finally is done with Argentine playmaker Emanuel Reynoso, transferring him to Liga MX’s Tijuana.

He made 95 appearances (both regular-season and playoffs), scoring 24 goals and providing 37 assists since joining the Loons in September 2020. But he went AWOL in both 2023 and 2024 and leaves after playing just 30 minutes this season.
