NASHVILLE, TN – Just like the U-15s, the Vancouver Whitecaps FC MLS Academy U-17s have made it to the quarterfinals of the MLS NEXT Cup Playoffs.
The ‘Caps defeated Players Development Academy (PDA) in a shootout on Tuesday after a 2-2 draw in regulation.
Rayan Elloumi scored in the first half, then PDA tied it to go into halftime 1-1.
Elloumi then scored again in the second half, giving him four goals in two playoff games. But PDA tied it again.
After a long shootout, the ‘Caps came out on top.
They will now face Philadelphia Union on Wednesday, June 19 at 12:15 p.m. PT, broadcast live on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.
