The 2024 NBA Draft is one week away in New York (June 26-27 on ABC/ESPN/ESPN+), and 30 teams are in their pre-draft process working out top prospects and narrowing their draft boards, helping us know how the first round , in particular, get a good feel for what might unfold.

Trade talks are in their early stages but are starting to take shape to an extent as the NBA draws on several scenarios from decision-makers depending on how the draft develops.

The Atlanta Hawks, who won the draft lottery for the No. 1 pick, appear to be courting either Zachary Risacher or Donovan Klingan but could have trade opportunities on draft night, especially if the San Antonio Spurs are interested in making a deal.

Hawks general manager Landry Fields said Monday the Hawks are satisfied with their current situation. “Today, we plan to pick one,” Fields said. “I don’t think it would be wise for us not to go over the situation, even those that might present themselves later with different teams.”

There’s still a lot left to play for next week, but the lineup for players is getting tighter as NBA teams have voted on the 25 players they want to see invited to the Barclays Center green room, with several more to be added. The list of 21 players has already been released.

Draft experts Jonathan Givney and Jeremy Wu weigh in on draft boards and potential players at each spot to update the ESPN 2024 NBA Mock Draft accordingly. Their latest mock, which reflects a full evaluation of the 2024 draft class and takes into account intel gathered from conversations with scouts and front office personnel, also accounts for the picks owed and owned by all 30 teams.
